Elon Musk recently showcased an unusual party trick at a high-profile dinner, allegedly to impress certain influential individuals.

During the Mar-a-Lago event, Elon Musk “proudly balanced a pile of cutlery on one finger,” with TikToker and internet sleuth @celebshine_nova suggesting that this “was not a casual move” and that he’s aiming to dazzle specific people with his dexterity.

Despite being the world’s wealthiest individual, the 53-year-old entrepreneur seems eager to project a particular image, regardless of his remarkable professional achievements.

Musk, notable for his pivotal roles in Tesla, SpaceX, and X, has also this year taken on the role of senior adviser to US President Donald Trump.

The TikToker observed Musk “looking around” while performing the cutlery balancing act, indicating his desire for recognition from certain VIPs. But just who is Musk so keen to impress? Internet theorists reckon it’s three specific people.

Karoline Leavitt – White House Press Secretary

According to the voiceover: “Karoline is a top Trump aide, and Musk holds her in high regard. He is often seen accompanying her during Trump’s travels, clearly aiming to make an impression.”

While Musk was engaged in his balancing act, she “laughed at him,” but the content creator expressed their belief that she was “not interested in him”.

The tech community

Musk is undeniably “an important figure in the technology world,” and his “cutlery balancing performance at the dinner immediately put him in the spotlight,” a place he seems to relish being in.

“In this way, Musk wanted to show off to those around him,” but some have “ridiculed” him online for the move, questioning his motives.

Donald Trump – 45th and 47th U.S. President

The voiceover asserted: “Finally, Musk wanted to get Donald Trump‘s attention,” and part of the reason for this is that “Musk’s business empire faces unprecedented challenges”.

As per Yahoo Finance, Tesla’s stock has taken a nosedive over 50% since December, causing the company to lose a staggering $800 billion in market value.

This plunge has also wiped roughly $100 billion off Musk’s net worth, although he still holds the title of the world’s richest person, with Forbes estimating his fortune at a whopping $329 billion.

“Recently, Trump bought a Tesla car for him, but this did not change his financial situation,” the voiceover revealed.

The TikToker believes that “Musk’s move is still to gain Trump’s recognition and help his career revive”.
